Thank you to Susie’s Senior Dogs (SSD) for helping us save Paula, a 12 year old Chihuahua. SSD contributed to Paula’s medical expenses, and they are helping Paula find her forever home to care for her from now on.
Paula’s owner passed away, and the family reached out to us to take her, as well as a number of other dogs, from the property. All of the dogs were living in squalid conditions and need a lot of care. Paula is very sweet and loving, but she has bad knees and trouble walking. She also has bad teeth and trouble eating. Due to her age, our veterinarian says that Paula shouldn’t have surgery, so we’re providing daily medications to keep her comfortable, happy, pain free, and more adoptable.
