Adopt-a-Pet offers an online service for potential adopters to review local pets owned by members of your community. Unfortunately rehome families aren’t able to continue caring for their pets for various reasons, so they’re requesting rehoming to a loving family. Rehome families want to avoid sending their loved ones to an area shelter – and where their pet will probably be rejected for intake, because Ft Bend County area shelters are full.
If you see a pet that you’re interested in, arrange a meet and greet with the owner/caretaker. Because Petco and PetSmart support the Adopt-a-Pet Rehome program and can allow a place for you and the owner and pet to meet, consider using.
