Job Overview:

In this volunteer role, you will be responsible for coordinating with the SOCA-FBC Administration Team to set dates and places for weekly adoption events and organize volunteers to assist either the dog or cat adoption events in a variety of locations. To be successful in this role you will need to be able to communicate effectively and professionally in a variety of methods including telephone, email, and messenger, with a variety of people, and be willing to work closely with the Administration Team of the organization.

Responsibilities and Duties:

There will be 1 person for each side (dog/cat) to be responsible in making sure each event has an Event Lead (crates & tables if needed).

Each person (dog/cat) to sends out weekly reminders to fosters via FB messenger chats.

Coordinate with the Administration team to set date, time, and place of adoption events.

Work as a team for the following:

Give listing of events to webmaster for publication on website.

Send out Sign Up Genius invitations to foster families.

Set up events at least one month in advance on Facebook page.

Make weekly event collages and post them on the SOCA-FBC Facebook page.


Ability to read and write in English. Ability to complete tasks with a specified time frame. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Training will be provided.

Time Commitment:

Up to 10 hours per week, as needed.


Must be 18 years of age or older. Telephone, Computer with internet access


This is a volunteer position. Service hours may be granted for your role.
