Rose, a 3-year-old Pitbull mix, was stabbed about 15 times and dumped in Peak, TX, off Highway 36 between Rosenberg and Needville. One of the wounds may have affected her trachea. She was also stabbed near her eye. A good Samaritan found Rose and took her to Fort Bend County Animal Shelter (FBCAS).  See Click2Houston news story and video.

FBCAS reached out to SOCA-FBC about Rose, and we immediately took her to an emergency vet for intensive care where she underwent 3 hours of surgery to repair her wounds. This is only the beginning, and she will require ongoing care. Rose is now in a loving medical foster home.
