Rosenberg, TX – October 1, 2016 – Fort Bend County Animal Services (FBCAS) is partnering with our 501c3, Saving Our Companion Animals – Fort Bend County (SOCA-FBC) on a pilot program to streamline the foster process for our shelter dogs.

FBCAS will continue our 5 day foster-to-adopt program so that potential adopters can bring home a shelter pet to see if they would like to make that pet part of their family.

During the pilot program, 20 dogs will be transferred to SOCA-FBC for fostering. FBCAS will continue to promote these animals for adoption. If successful, the process will gradually be increased to include more dogs. SOCA-FBC plans to work primarily with special needs, medical needs and long-term shelter residents. To apply to foster you can go here: https://toolkit.rescuegroups.org/of/f?c=ZGFVRHKK

In order for SOCA-FBC to provide the best care for these pets you can make a donation to this program to SOCA-FBC https://www.givinggrid.com/soca-fbcasfosterfund/. Your donations will help make this pilot program a success and save lives at FBCAS.

Many local rescue groups need fosters to assist them in preparing animals for adoption from FBCAS. If not working with SOCA, we encourage you to sign up with another rescue group to help our shelter pets.
